Ken is the Chairman of the Board and immediate past President & CEO of Encore Energy Services, Inc. Ken is a principal owner, chairs the Sustainability and Strategic Initiatives committees on the Board, and remains active as needed in the business. Ken is a registered Professional Engineer and has a wealth of experience in customer service and support, sales, pipeline design, pipeline and utility rate negotiations, and business management. Beginning in 1989, Ken has served in multiple engineering, sales, managerial, and officer positions in the Aquila Energy, Cornerstone Energy, and Constellation Energy organizations before founding Encore in 2010. He understands the importance of consistently delivering an unmatched level of service to Encore’s customers and has instilled this conviction in the Encore Leadership Team. Ken holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

Bret is the Vice-Chairman, President & Chief Executive Officer of Encore Energy and has direct day-to-day responsibility for all segments of the business. Bret is a principal owner and chairs the Risk, Regulatory, and Compliance committees on the Board. Bret joined Encore in 2012 as an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer where he supervised all day-to-day operational aspects of Encore. As one of the owners of Encore, he has demonstrated great success in building a highly successful company and team, while always looking for opportunities to expand offerings to ensure Encore remains the premier energy partner for its customers. He has the ability to see the big picture and also enjoys rolling up his sleeves to get things done. Bret has been in the energy industry his entire professional career, dating back to 1991. Bret has extensive experience in the natural gas industry and has held several key positions including sales, marketing, gas trading, and overall business management with multiple organizations including Aquila Energy, Cornerstone Energy, Constellation Energy, and Strategic Energy Partners. Bret was the President and CEO of Cornerstone Energy and the Co-Chief Commercial Officer of Constellation NewEnergy Gas. Bret graduated magna cum laude earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Jerry joined Encore Energy in 2012 and serves as the Corporate Secretary and Executive Vice President. Jerry is a principal owner and chairs the Compensation and Human Resources committees on the Board and remains active as needed in the business. Jerry has extensive energy experience dating to 1991 in natural gas measurement, engineering, scheduling, sales, and business management. Prior to Encore, Jerry worked in a variety of technical, sales, managerial and officer positions in the Aquila Energy, Cornerstone Energy, Constellation Energy and Strategic Energy Partners organizations. Jerry's pre-energy background included 14 years of electronics and managerial experience in the broadcast industry. Jerry’s experience and knowledge have helped develop Encore into the mature and successful energy company it is today. His ongoing involvement with the company and BOD will continue providing guidance as topics warrant. Jerry graduated from the Radio Engineering Institute of Nebraska.

Bill founded Encore with Ken in 2010. Bill was a brilliant gentleman with unlimited knowledge in every facet of life. Bill provided valuable experience and insight into multiple disciplines including accounting, taxes, regulatory, and the law. Bill was a principal owner, Executive Vice President, and served as Encore’s Chief Financial Officer. Bill passed in January 2021, and his willingness to help anyone at any time, intelligence, and unlimited wit are missed every day.
